Andor Stars voiced their characters for the Spanish dub of the Star Wars Show


Andor stars Diego Luna and Adria Arjona personally voice their Star Wars characters in the Spanish dub of the fast-approaching Disney+ series.

Two of the stars of Disney + are fast approaching star wars series Andor personally voice their respective characters in the show’s Spanish dub.

At the D23 Expo in Anaheim, Andor Diego Luna – originally from Mexico – has announced that he and co-star Adria Arjona – originally from Puerto Rico – are voicing their respective voices star wars characters in the Spanish version of the A thug prequel series. In AndorLuna reprises her role as rebel spy Cassian Andor, while Arjona joins the star wars franchise under the Bix Caleen name.

“Thanks a lot [not only] to those who speak Spanish here, but to the general public who speak Spanish and watch in Latin America, Mexico, Spain and here in this country,” Luna told D23 (translated from Spanish). “And to announce that Adria and I have done the Spanish dubbed versions for Latin America [and] in the US in case you want to watch in Spanish. It’s us. And we appreciate your love and support. It means a lot to us and you’re with us in the process.” Notably, while actors voicing their own characters in a foreign-language dub is certainly not unprecedented, it’s still fairly rare.

Andor will premiere on Disney+ on September 21

Lucasfilm’s latest live-action Disney+ series is set in the star wars universe, Andor is set to air its first three episodes on Disney+ on Wednesday, September 21. The show’s first season is set to run for 12 episodes in total and end on Wednesday, November 23. Andor will return for a second season, which will also run for 12 episodes, bringing the series to a grand total of 24 episodes.

Andor serves as a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Storythe first season of the Disney+ series taking place five years before the events of the 2016 anthology film (which itself takes place just before the events of the original star wars 1977 movie). Andor Season 2 will then cover the next four years of Cassian Andor’s life, leading directly into the events of A thug – which saw him give his life as part of the Rebel Alliance’s ultimately successful attempt to steal the Death Star plans from the Galactic Empire.

Andor premieres Wednesday, September 21 on Disney+.
