Call of Duty Warzone Double Weapon XP not working for multiple users

Last week, Call of Duty News (@charlieINTEL) reported that the beloved Double Weapon XP and Double XP events will be making a return to COD Warzone. It’s live now and will end on July 6 at 10 a.m. PT.

Now is a great time to grind and upgrade your Season 4 weapons such as the C58 Assault Rifle, Nail Gun, and MG 82 LMG.

Call of Duty Warzone and Cold War players can earn double XP as well as double weapon XP during the event. This allows casual gamers to grind their guns.

Thousands of gamers were eagerly waiting to upgrade their favorite gear over the weekend. But it looks like the game had other plans for them.

Right after the event started, several players around the world reported that they were unable to earn additional XP from the event in COD Warzone.

Does Dual Weapon XP currently work for people? The normal weapon XP awarded for a supply was 500 XP the last time I did this. During Dual Weapon XP this would then give 1000 XP per contract. Ditto for recognition contracts. Currently, during Dual Weapon XP Weekend, I only get 500 Weapon XP per contract. Is Dual Weapon XP not working or have they reduced the amount of Weapon XP you get by contract? (Source)

Is it just me or it seems like Dual Weapon XP isn’t working? I’ve loved it since it released today, so I just tested a single supply on the loot. I got it and backed off. Only counted for 500 to 1000. (Source)

We want to remind you that this is not the first time that the Dual Weapon XP event has not worked as expected. After last season’s update (season 3), the same issue was reported by players around the world.

It’s really frustrating for some as they were looking forward to the weekend to improve their guns. We hope the issue will be resolved soon as the event only lasts a few days.

That said, gamers are also experiencing installation issues on the PS5 and the infamous Developer Error 5573.
