Call of Duty Warzone: July 14 hotfix features massive weapon nerfs

0

A new update has fallen on Call of Duty: War Zone, which introduces a plethora of weapon nerfs in the hopes of balancing all weapons.

The developers were looking at the Average Kill Time (TTK) for all weapons in several categories – with the primary goal of reducing torso multipliers in this patch. This change will now reward players who aim more precisely.

As is natural for all live Battle Royale games, there will always be a “best weapon” in any meta. The developers are just hoping that with these weapon changes players won’t be forced to meet certain standards. In other words, players can use any weapon they want and enjoy the game.

Weapon changes

The patch notes reveal quite a bit of weapon tweaks. While the list is quite comprehensive, here are some highlights:

The developers have said that they will monitor the performance of the weapons after the update. If any outliers or weapons become more popular than others, players can expect another balance update to be implemented in the future.

So what do you think of the developers’ decision to balance all the weapons in Call of Duty: War Zone?
