Beijing [China] July 20 (ANI): The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) released a video threatening Japan with nuclear reaction and “full-scale war” if it interferes with China’s management of Taiwan.
A video posted on a CCP-approved channel chose Japan as the only exception to China’s policy of not using nuclear weapons against non-nuclear-weapon states, Fox News reported.
“We will use nuclear bombs first and then continue to use them,” the video reads.
“We will do this until Japan declares its second unconditional surrender,” he added.
According to Taiwan News, the video was removed from China’s Xigua platform after being viewed 2 million times, but a copy was uploaded to YouTube and Twitter.
The threat follows a comment made by Japanese officials about Taiwan’s sovereignty two weeks ago, with Vice Premier Taro Aso saying that Japan must “protect Taiwan,” reports the Japan Times. It was.
Beijing claims the full sovereignty of Taiwan. Taiwan is a democracy of around 24 million people located off the southeast coast of mainland China, but the two countries have been governed separately for more than 70 years.
Meanwhile, Taipei has thwarted China’s aggression by strengthening its strategic ties with democracies, including the United States. China threatens that “Taiwan independence” means war.
Since mid-September last year, Beijing has stepped up its gray area tactics by regularly sending planes to ADIZ in Taiwan. It most commonly occurs in the southwest corner of the area and typically consists of one to three low-speed turboprop planes. (ANI)
