Dillian Whyte faces the man who gave Tyson Fury all he could take.
Dillian Whyte will face Otto Wallin on October 30 at the O2 Arena in London live exclusively on DAZN.
“The Bodysnatcher” is desperate for a world title and has always called out Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder, but his immediate attention will now be on the tough Swede who gave Fury a tough night in 2019.
Whyte, who traded wins with Alexander Povetkin for the past 15 months, can no longer afford to slip as he pursues the sport’s biggest prizes. Wallin, who will have his own ambitions for the world title, has rebounded brilliantly from his loss to Fury with wins over Travis Kauffman and Dominic Breazeale.
Whyte’s fight will see Wallin return to the highest level of heavyweight boxing after his courageous effort against Fury two years ago. With the image of the belt set to become clearer in the coming months, the winner between Whyte and Wallin will be in a privileged position to challenge whoever holds the glory.
Matchroom Sport President Eddie Hearn said: “Matchroom and DAZN’s stacked upcoming schedule just got even better with these three successful additions.
On October 16, four-weight king Mikey Garcia returns to action on a tough mission against Barcelona European welterweight champion Sandor Martin in Fresno, Calif.
‘The Body Snatcher’ Dillian Whyte returns home to the O2 on October 30 to pit his interim WBC heavyweight world title against Otto Wallin – the man who nearly defeated Tyson Fury.
“Then on December 18th Joseph Parker and Derek Chisora go to war again at Manchester Arena. Watch it all live and exclusively worldwide on DAZN.”
Full card details will be released soon.
