The best Building Genshin Impact Collei puts a different spin on Dendro and puts her in an important supporting role. Unlike Tighnari, Collei excels at setting the stage for other characters to rush in and sweep the field. And if your luck doesn’t come during Genshin 3.0 banners, fear not. You can get Collei for free in an upcoming event.
When is the Collei banner release date?
Collei will debut on the Tighnari Banner, Viridescent Vigil, and Zhongli’s revival Gentry of Hermitage in Genshin Impact 3.0, which begins August 23 or August 24 depending on time zones. Diona and Fischl will join her, and the streamers until September 9 – half a week shorter than usual, in accordance with the update which lasts five weeks instead of the traditional six.
Graven Innocence, one of the Genshin 3.0 events, includes a free Collei as one of his rewards, and you only need to complete the tutorial to invite him.
Is Collei a DPS character?
Collei is a sub-DPS who specializes in dealing Dendro damage and preparing enemies for elemental reactions. Her base attack stat is pretty low at 16. Even though attack is also her secondary stat, you won’t keep her on the field to deal damage with her bow like you would with Tighnari. However, it’s still a good idea to bolster Collei’s offense with his build.
Collei’s Elemental Skill throws a Dendro Ring that deals damage once, then returns to her and deals damage again. His passive talent Floral Sidewinder creates the Sprout effect if you trigger Dendro-related reactions while the ring is active, which deals damage based on Collei’s attack. The Sprout spawns on the character that triggered the reaction, so Collei can be off the field.
Its shine is even more useful. Collei throws an exploding doll and creates a Dendro field. Smaller Dendro explosions occur in the field for six seconds. This is great for triggering reactions, and if a party member triggers Dendro-related reactions in the field, the field lasts up to three seconds longer.
In short, your best bet is to use Collei’s skill, burst, or both, then swap her out for another character to trigger a reaction. Only the character’s Elemental Mastery causes the reaction that matters, so you don’t have to worry about increasing that stat on Collei.
Should I shoot for Collei?
Whether you should shoot for Collei depends on your game progress. just invite Collei for free during Graven Innocence unless you want to try its constellations. Fischl is the only other four-star banner character that would work well on a Collei team (or a Tighnari team), so keep that in mind if you decide to shoot his banner.
If you are still working on past story quests and probably won’t happen in Sumeru during Genshin 3.0, you might want to try your luck on the banner. Tighnari switches to the permanent banner after the end of version 3.0, where your chances of obtaining it are lower. Rumors suggest there won’t be another Dendro character for a few more updates, meaning you’ll only have the Dendro Traveler to rely on for the new item.
What is the best version of Genshin Impact Collei?
Collei’s Best Build increases Collei’s Dendro damage and increases attack to help make the most of his elemental skill’s Sprout effect, and there are some strong options to choose from for this build.
Best Collei Weapon – Arc of Amos
If you want the best for your wild forest child, Arch of Amos is the one to aim for. It has a high base attack stat of 46 and its secondary stat increases attack by an additional 10% (up to 49% at level 90).
It is certainly not the most practical choice. Collei won’t use the Bow secondary effect much, and you might not like the idea of using a five-star weapon on a four-star support character.
If that is the case, Rust is a good four star alternative. It has a slightly lower attack stat of 42 and a secondary stat that increases attack by nine percent. Or if the attack buff isn’t really what you want to worry about, you can try the Favonius War Bow and use her energy recharge effect to keep Collei recharged and ready to use her burst.
Best Collei Artifacts – Deepwood Memories
The Sprout effect is only part of Collei’s ability set. Most of the damage she deals will come from her skill and burst, and since they deal damage to Dendro, Memories of Deepwood is a great set of artifacts for her.
- Two-part effect: Increases Dendro’s damage by 15%
- Four-Part Effect: If the wearer uses an elemental skill or flurry, it decreases Dendro’s resistance by 30% on all enemies affected by the skill or flurry.
Collei’s skill and burst deal multiple rounds of damage over time, so you can trigger the debuff and get instant results. You can also use his skill to trigger the debuff and then immediately use his flurry to deal even greater damage.
What is the best version of Genshin Impact Collei F2P?
The F2P version of Collei uses a new Sumeru weapon that seems made just for her.
Best Collei F2P Weapon – King’s Squire
King’s Squire is a new craftable weapon introduced in 3.0. It has a base attack stat of 41 and a secondary stat that increases attack by 12%. Using a skill or flurry creates the Teachings of the Forest effect, which increases the user’s Elemental Mastery by 80.
Normally, Collei won’t (probably) trigger many reactions, but if she does, it’s a handy extra boost. When the effect ends, it deals 100% of the user’s attack as damage to a nearby opponent.
HoYoverse has yet to say how to get Sumeru ticket items, although some rumors suggest you can exchange existing tickets for Sumeru items. If there are no new weekly bosses in Genshin 3.0, you can just keep farming the existing bosses and redeem the rewards for whatever you want.
Best Collei F2P Artifacts – Deepwood Memories
The F2P Collei build still focuses on Collei dealing damage to Dendro, so we recommend using Memories of Deepwood with this build too.
