Mulakuzha: Annamma, who was axed to death by a relative at Mulakuzha in Chengennur on Saturday morning, suffered more than 25 cuts on her body. The hands and legs were also found severed. At first, the accused, Rinju Sam, who lived with Annamma, did not allow the police to enter the house. The police suspect Rinju is suffering from mental health issues as he had tried to hide the murder weapon.

The accused also gave clear answers during police questioning. There are indications that Rinju didn’t like Annamma staying at their house. According to a statement, a verbal fight took place at the house over it. He was angry with his parents for letting Annamma stay with them.
