Volunteers helped raise $ 251,000 for the Red Kettle Campaign
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The La Crosse County Salvation Army celebrates exceeding its Red Kettle campaign target.
He raised over $ 251,000, $ 1,000 more than the goal. This money represents about a third of the organization’s annual budget.
“People haven’t forgotten the most needy in our community,” said Isaiah Thomas, development director for the Salvation Army in La Crosse County. “People always have the spirit of generosity, even though we have had such challenges over the past two years. “
Over 2,800 volunteers have rang the bells to collect donations this holiday season. The Salvation Army still accepts donations online and in person.
