Police arrested two youths from the minority community on Monday evening for causing fear among people by brandishing a deadly weapon during the immersion ceremony of the idol Lord Ganesha installed by the Jai Bhim Nagar Youth Association in Harihar town in Davangere district.

Nayaz Ahmad (21) and Mohammad Nawaz (19) are those arrested and the police are looking for Sheikh Ali.

The trio are said to have arrived at the circle when the immersion procession arrived there and displayed the deadly weapon measuring 1.5 feet and created fear among the people during the procession. An eyewitness, Jagadish filed a complaint at the Harihar city police station.
