Ukrainian army defends Mariupol, destroys enemy tanks, about 40 invaders

The Ukrainian army defends Mariupol against the Russian army, having destroyed an entire tank company, six armored fighting vehicles and about 40 invaders.

According to Ukrinform, the joint forces operation reported this on Facebook.

“The Ukrainian defenders continue to hold the strong defense of Mariupol. The Russian occupiers suffer huge losses in the battles for the “heroic city of Ukraine”. Today, the marines and servicemen of the Azov regiment destroyed the entire enemy tank company, six armored fighting vehicles and about 40 invaders,” the statement said.

In addition, the joint forces received documents from the Kremlin occupiers with a list of unit personnel and their addresses.

“Mariupol is standing, and the enemy will lie down on our soil. Glory to Ukraine!” added the JFO.

On March 5-6, the mass evacuation of residents of Mariupol, organized after negotiations with Russia, was postponed due to enemy shelling along the approved route.

As previously reported, Russian President Vladimir Putin launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24. Russian troops bombard and destroy infrastructure and residential areas of Ukrainian towns and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.

Martial law was imposed in the country and a general mobilization was announced.

Ukraine has officially filed a complaint against the Russian Federation before the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
